2MaxFm supports the RU AWARE WE CARE Drought Appeal
2Max FM in conjunction with other community radio stations in the region are supporting RU AWARE WE CARE Drought Appeal to assist farmers and others affected by the drought.
There will be a series of Forums held across the region on the following dates and locations between 10am and 3pm.
ATTUNGA: Tuesday 7th August, Attunga Hall
GLEN INNES: Wednesday 15th August, Glenn Innes Services Club
INVERELL: Tuesday 14th August, Inverell RSM Club
MOREE: Thursday 9th August, Moree Services Club
NARRABRI: Wednesday 8th August, Narrabri RSL
At each Forum there will be representatives from the following organisations:
• Rural Financial Aid
• Business/Tax Advice
• Local Government Services
• Agriculture industry support
• Family and Mental Health Support
• Employment Services
• Animal Welfare
They will be able to offer advice and/or assistance.
The Salvation Army will be on hand as a partner of the RU AWARE WE CARE campaign to assist and support the region’s families with donations received and funds raised through the efforts of the appeal.
We encourage all our farming families, businesses and others affected by the drought to attend a Forum near you.
2Max FM is still accepting non-perishable goods at the studio, 73 Barwan Street Narrabri. The goods will be collected next week by the Salvation Army to be included in hampers being distributed at the Forums.
